Jakarta – Kartunet successfully became one of the twenty recipients of grant funds from Cipta Media. The announcement of the successful grant proposals was made on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at 11:00 AM, at the Ford Foundation, Sequis Building 11th Floor, Jl. Jendral Sudirman 71, Jakarta. The Kartunet representative present at this announcement was Dimas Prasetyo Muharam (Chairman of KCI).

Cipta Media is an open grant program designed to foster new and fresh ideas in media practices that can improve media in Indonesia. To implement this program, Cipta Media is funded by the Ford Foundation and supported by three organizations: Wikimedia Indonesia, ICT Watch, and AJI Indonesia. The total open grant fund is one million US$, or approximately 8.5 billion rupiah.
In the initial stage, Cipta Media received over 820 proposals from across Indonesia, divided into four categories. Subsequently, Kartunet's submitted proposal successfully advanced to the next stage, with full details available at https://www.kartunet.com/peluang-kartunet-memperoleh-dana-hibah-semakin-terbuka-706. Initially, the grant amount requested by Kartunet was one billion rupiah, but after consulting with the jury, Kartunet revised the proposal and the requested amount to 244 million rupiah.
Ultimately, Kartunet successfully became one of the Cipta Media grant recipients, securing 244 million rupiah, consistent with the total amount requested in the proposal.
