THE FOUNDATION OF SOCIAL INTERACTION, Friends, In our lives, everyone will always need the help and contribution of others. Even those who consider themselves successful still require assistance or the involvement of others, at the very least needing others to congratulate them and applaud their achievements. Friends, because life is a synergy of our interconnected roles, or our mutual dependence on one another, let us appreciate even the smallest roles and contributions of others.
It is through these roles and contributions that the conditions and circumstances we experience today have come about, enabling us to live and enjoy the journey of life. And to truly appreciate and respect the roles and contributions of others, we must adopt a good attitude and approach when interacting and engaging socially in our lives. Friends, here are some ways taught by Allah in the holy Qur'an on how we can associate and interact harmoniously with others in our lives.
Allah says: “O you who have believed! Let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent — then it is those who are the wrongdoers.” Qs49:11 (Al-Hujurat 11) Friends, from the verse above, we can learn that to associate and interact with others, mutual respect and tolerance are the primary requirements and essential foundations we must employ when we wish to foster harmonious synergistic relationships in our lives.
And hopefully, by adhering to the verse above, we will be able to associate and interact socially in a positive way, making our presence more desired than our absence. Amen. Greetings of acceleration!!
